Parent Dinner-Dance Auction Fundraiser

The date for the 2nd  Annual ThunderBall is set for Saturday January 30, 2010.   Following the success of last year’s inaugural ThunderBall and with the addition of the popular band ABBA-Cadabra we expect this year’s event to be bigger and better.  So book your babysitter now and plan to attend.   

Date:  January 30th, 2010

Time: 5:30 Cocktails, 6:30 Sit Down Dinner

Venue: Hellenic Center 4500 Arbutus St. Vancouver

Band:  ABBA-Cadabra

Live and Silent Auction

Cost:  $50/ticket before Dec. 31st

          $60/ticket after Dec. 31st

Cash Bar (incl. a Martini Bar)

Tickets: can be purchased from your team’s ThunderBall representative or Team Manager.   Deadline for ticket purchase is January 15th, 2010 but there are only 500 tickets available so don’t delay! 


We need donations: We are looking for sponsorship and auction or door prize donations, so please think of contacts you have who might be willing to sponsor this event or provide an auction donation and make a request on behalf of the T-Birds.  


Team Incentives:  There are ThunderBall team incentives for sponsorship and donations!  So plan to make this a fundraiser for your team:

a.      Sponsorship:  each team will receive 10% of all sponsorship money raised by that team.  Contact Ed Wong, Ed_Wong@canaccord.com for any questions on sponsorship;  
b.      Auction donations:  each team is being asked to donate or arrange for the donation of auction items or door prizes.  Teams will receive 10% of the auction sale price for each item donated.    Items are to be turned in to Shana Hochfelder, Shana@vancouverumbrella.com by January 10, 2010.   Please note that we need you to provide us with certain information with the donations so that the sponsors/donors can be properly acknowledged:

1.      Description of the action or door prize item or amount of sponsorship
2.      Estimated value of the auction or door prize item (mandatory)
3.      Name and mailing address of the donor

4.      The team that secured this donation, please provide the Division and team designation  (ie H3 C4)
5.      Whether the donor wishes the Thunderbirds to include its logo (electronic version must be provided) in the auction catalogue and ThunderBall website
